BPG USA Invests in Operational Excellence with ePS Publication Print Suite ERP

After an extensive scoping exercise and due diligence on leading-edge workflow solutions for streamlined productivity and management efficiency, BPG USA has initiated the “One BPG USA” initiative to implement the Publication Print Suite from eProductivity Software (ePS) as its future production Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform across all its sites.

“This investment is part of a long-term, strategic partnership with ePS to provide solutions for order management, scheduling, print production, and logistics,” said Yannic Schroeder, Chief Transformation Officer of BPG USA. “As part of our holistic strategy, we are investing not only in state-of-the-art print and bind machinery but also recognize the importance of future-proof, digital workflows to enable our business processes.”

The suite implementation is taking place in three phases to replace all legacy ERP systems at BPG USA, with the first phase having been initiated at our Berryville, Martinsburg, and Fairfield sites. For BPG USA, the new ERP workflow is an important cornerstone on its journey to improve its operational excellence and “to offer our customers an unparalleled time-to-market from placing an order to the truck leaving our site”, Yannic explained.

Specifically designed to meet the unique needs of enterprise publication print organizations, the ePS Publication Print Suite integrates many production activities to optimize workflows and enable data-driven decision-making. Features in the suite track capacity, bottlenecks, missing components, and the impact of schedule changes on job delivery. Robust data solutions in the suite give BPG USA even more capabilities, helping our teams gain visibility and insight into every area of the business.

“Smart technology is a critical enabler to increase efficiency and profitability and drive market differentiation in today’s printing market, and we are excited to help BPG USA achieve its goals by using the world’s most advanced workflow solution for a book printing service provider,” said Nick Benkovich, Vice President, Portfolio Product Management of ePS.
